Do you ever get the feeling you were meant for something more? Like, what you do on a daily basis is important and meaningful but there has to be more. More life to live, more knowledge to share, more love to give, more money to be made. Just more.
I enjoy what I do. Music has always been a love of mine and to share that love with children is very rewarding. I knew, going into the teaching field, that most of my payment would be in rewarding moments and not in cash. While, I am grateful for these daily reminders that I am helping shape young minds, I can't help but think, is there more?
Every morning I intentionally wake up an hour and a half before I need to leave for work with the sole purpose of getting ready quickly so I can settle into my comfy spot on my cozy couch with a cup of coffee and a good book for 45 minutes of uninterrupted sipping and reading. Now, my idea of a good book is probably far from most people's book choices. My ideal book usually has the word money, habits, wealth or millionaire in the title. I know I'm a nerd, and I am 100% okay with that. While none of these books have made me a multi-millionaire...yet, I find the information within them to be fascinating. Each morning as I settle in with my Walmart donut shop coffee and my newest good read, I immerse myself in the words with the hope of gaining more financial and general life knowledge than I had the day before. Has this made me a financial guru? Absolutely not. Has this helped me to grow my knowledge of money and how to build a better financial future for my family? You bet it has! (family being Bill and our 4 cats.)

I have always loved money. Not in a greedy Scrooge McDuck kind of way. But in a money affords opportunity kind of way. Outside of material things, money provides independence. It provides security. It can give you freedom to travel the world and do all the things you've always dreamed of. Money gives you time. Time with family and friends, time to do all the things you enjoy and that make you happy. Money is not bad. It is simply an object that can be used for good or evil depending on who's hands it is in.
With all this being said, it has been in the back of my mind for some time now that this is my more. Sharing my drive and determination toward financial freedom with you. Providing insight on wise financial decisions through my experiences, be it good or bad (trust me, we have made MANY bad financial decisions). I want to help you learn and understand your finances in an easy to understand way so that you can start building wealth for your future. I will admit that I am not very eloquent in my writing and I realize that I use commas excessively and more than likely in all the wrong places, but, I know a thing or two about money that I would love to impart to you.
Thank you for coming with us on this journey and for helping us discover our "more" as we try something new.
